During its infancy, the association experimented with different styles of gathering following the inaugural Black Tie Dinner in November 2007, which was preceeded by Evensong in Chapel. This proved a very popular event, with over 80 dining in Hall. This model was repeated in 2010 and was again extremely well attended.

In 2008, the association met for a less formal gathering in the college's Cripp's Court. Those who could come along enjoyed a buffet followed by informal sing in the theatre, led by a number willing volunteers, in turn.

In 2009, the event travelled to London where it was made very welcome at St Luke's, Chelsea. There, members sang Evensong and afterwards enjoyed refreshments in the Vestry.

A full Black Tie dinner was again very well attended in 2012 and the association has since settled into the cycle of a triennial dinner in a similar form, having had another successful dinner in 2015.

The next event will take place on Saturday 27th October 2018, where the traditional Black Tie Dinner will be preceded by Evensong in Chapel with the chance to sing with the current choir. There will also be the opportunity to start off with a Tour of the Pepys Library that same afternoon.
