The association was originally conceived back in 2003 when its Chairman, Mrs Lucy Jones set about making contact with people who had sung in the choir. Using old photographs, word of mouth and the power of self perpetuation, alumni choir members from within the college, wider university and beyond have joined up.

The first official occasion took place in 2007 which saw a Black Tie Dinner in Hall, preceeded by Evensong in Chapel. More details about association events can be found here. In 2012, the association was adopted by the Development Office at Magdalene, enhancing our ability to reach out to current and former members and absorb the administrative burden of events organisation. The membership base has now grown to over 150.

Of course, many members of the choir come from Magdalene College itself, but the choir also welcomes singers from elsewhere.
